Hello, I just joined the forum but I don't have a CW yet. While I'm saving up for one I downloaded the Software and have been playing with it and creating some designs.

I was wondering if there was anyone located near me that I could go visit to see the machine in action. I am located in Central Maryland. It would be really cool if I could even take a test file that I created and see it turned into a real piece of wood.

That idea got me thinking about emachineshop.com and how they let you download similar software and you can upload your design and they build it for you. What if we could create a distributed version of that with this forum? People could download the software and create designs and then find someone here who would create it with their machine. I think it might be a great way for people to make a few bucks with their machines similar to the way people are making money creating and selling patterns.

Welcome to the forums.

Actually over 100 members have gotten together to form a guild of sorts

Better hurry with your designs because the software only lasts for 30 days and then after that it is wothless for you to use.

I'm working on replacing the "Buddy Map" I had created with a "new and improved" member map :)

If your not on the map, all you have to do is update your profile on CompuCarveWright.com.

If you are registering new...you'll be added automatically.

CHECK IT OUT HERE:
CompuCarve™ and CarveWright™ Owners Map (http://compucarvewright.com/index.php?option=com_google_maps&Itemid=122)

You can, if you wish, put the EXACT coordinates (longitude/latitude) of your house or business, and the map will point to it. For generalized coordinates, I found this site to be useful:
http://www.downloadzipcode.com/

(I haven't figured out how to alphabetize the member list below the map...but I'm working on it).

Hope you find the NEW map useful...

Tommy :)
