Hi folks...

I hope everyone is well. I found some time to play again and something peculiar came up in my Designer software. When I go to Board Settings - Pattern Bit, there are only four selections possible (three ballnose and the 1/8 straight). For the project I'm working on, I'd like to use the 1/16 bit but it's not an option.

What am I missing?

BTW... I searched but not much luck. "Bit" is too short to search on... :-(

Thanks!

Pete

1/16 what? The 1/16 ballnose is one of the 4. That is the default one.

Hi Pete,

the 1/16" ballnose IS the carving bit. It's also the default bit and LHR recommends NOT changing it unless you're trying for some type of special effect.

Yes, searching requires at least 4 characters so you could try "Bits" instead.

Hope that helps

Carving wouldnt be fun unless they changed the terminology here and there a bit.... a bit, no pun intended.

Or add a small picture to clarify what it is http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

I knew it would be something dumb like this.

Thanks everyone for all your help!

Nothing dumb about it, I was actually looking up ballnose post myself to see if it was the same as the carving bit when Chris posted his reply.
