Greetings,
I have been looking at this machine for some time but have a question if it will do what I need it to do. I am not looking at anything fancy rather simple engraving of small lettering and logos.

If the machine can be used for simple engraving, what is the smallest size it is capable of in regard to lettering.

Thank you for your time.
Bill

Hey Bill,

Welcome to the CW Forum

Here's a couple examples of Centerline Text
The size of the text you may want to use will probably be detrained
by the font you pick and the material you plan to carve it on.
The harder the stock (with in limitations) the cleaner the carved text will look.
If you do a search on the 3 types of text the machine can carve
( Raster, Outline, and Centerline) plus the bits used to carve them,
you'll find a ton of info on each of them.
There are also a few posts on which fonts have been working well with the machines.

One thing to keep in mind too is centerline text is $100.00 extra.

On the alphabet carving, what's up with the C and X? Also no Z.

This was a test run on a small piece of fiber board
The z is missing along with the rest of the alphabet on the next line
because of the size of the text and board.
I painted in the text to show the flaws in the c and x that I had found in that particular text font
and knew it would not work for my project and so I discarded it.

Here's a fresh one I carved about 30 minutes ago on 1/4" White Corian,
the ruler on the side shows that some of the caps are about a 1/4" tall.
