Why doesn't CW use a power cord with a grounding plug? Does that cause more problems? I understand how critical static charge is to electronics. And I know the 3 pronged plug is for safety, in case of a short but it looks like that would also prevent static build up. Bill

The first units did have a 3 prong plug. At UL Testing it was made a 2 wire plug to pass. Not sure the exact reason but over a year ago a guy that worked at the UL Lab posted the reason. The best way to ground the unit is through the dust collector in my opinion.
