Raise/Lower Head

Just received my CW and have made lots of dust so far. Lots to learn. I'm having a problem lowering the head. It raises ok and lowers pretty easily until I get to about 1". Then it gets real tight. Getting it to drop to 1/2" is really hard. I've lubed the 4 corner rods. I've checked the screw in the middle of the crank assembly and it is tight and not slipping. Any suggestions?

You might want to check the corner posts, mind got banged around in shipping and was hard to crank up and down.
I loosened the bolts on top just a little and gave it a couple of shakes, and it helped realign the top of the machine,
and it crankes up and down fine now.
