Well, the E4/5/6 promotion lists came out this week, and I've got a couple frocking plaques to make.

The PO1N and PO2N patterns at the depot are great - as are the (available) warfare pins.

Does anyone have an AW (aviation warfare) pattern? If you're a depot pattern maker, I'd be happy to wait until you upload and pay for it.

Thanks,
Steve

I am a member of about 6 forums and sometimes they cross paths... I am working on a Navy Clock for a friend, a donation / sample. I used the Navy Chief Anchors I got on the forum or purchased, not sure. Anyway I found a web site thanks to my friends on the Sawmill Creek Forum with free Navy logos.

http://www.aboyandhiscomputer.com/navyclipart.php

Did a quick conversion to .ptn and it looks like it might carve well.... Something for tomorrow.... Im may scrap the clock and try the new Anchor....

As for the rest of his web site... Discretion is recommended.... I don't endorse his views.

Was looking at that Navy clipart site. I don't know about you guys but I'm thinking his "Official Seal" generator could come in very handy for some projects. Like alot of you guys I'm an AF vet and still like all the patches/insigna the various services have. Being in OKC I do alot of "hey, you think you can do this for me" projects for my friends that are still active duty. Mostly I think they try to play stump the dummy. Everytime they ask me for something it's a little more complex than the one before. Knowing the military folks I'd say they have a side bet as to who can give me one I can't complete. Wouldn't surprise me at all. Anyway, I get sidetracked. My point was the generator looked kinda cool. LOL

Thanks for posting Al and thank you for your service to this country. The same for every other vet out there. That can't be said enough in my opinion......

I downloaded his 338kb zip file, they are in SVGZ format.

My Photoshop CS2 program opens them.

They open in the Adobe Bridge part of the program, and can be used in Illustrator – made into 3d images and exported as a PNG files to use in Designer.

Photo shows the Bridge screen print.

I wasn’t in the Navy, my time was spent in the AF, working on KC-97 and F-85’s the electronics. I collect a lot of ClipArt, some day I might use them.

Ryland Sanders has a link to download these files to your computer. They are in SVG format. To open the files, you need to open them in Adobe Illustrator, and then in Illustrator you can save the file to a PNG format. You can also change the image to a 3d image, to make your PTN’s. You can change to lots of different formats with Illustrator. There other programs to do this also. I use the Adobe Photoshop CS2 programs because that’s the one I have.

Steve; I opened a SVG file for the AW pattern from Ryland Sanders’ web site to see if I could convert a SVG file to PNG in my Adobe Illustrator, this is what I came up with. I’m not sure if this is what you want, I was not in the Navy.
