Flex-shaft lube question...yet another...

Is there any problem with leaving the flex-shaft sheath attached on the cut motor end and just pulling the core out of the cutter head end, lubing it, then reinserting it, re-engaging it in the cut motor, then re-engaging it in the cutter head?

This saves removing the cover and possibly pulling something loose. It is also, of course, faster.

I've done it once or twice, and it seems to work.......

Also if the long sleeve spring happens to slips out, no problem just wipe it down to clean it
and reinsert it into the flex-shaft sheath
