QC Vibration

Recently my QC broke and I installed a QC that was given to me several months ago by LHR. My CompuCarve is working okay, but the noise level has greatly increased. I remember that there were some problems with the earlier QC's and I was wondering if anyone experienced the same problem.

LHR will sell me a new QC, but I wanted to make certain that a QC could be causing the noise levels.

Make sure the new chuck is tight. Then hold the chuck and see if it wiggles. If the chuck wiggles in any direction the the lower bearing spacer is probably shot. Call LHR and they will probably want to repair or replace the "Z" truck.
