For those who have the time to look, tell me why there appears to be a square around the butterfly on the right side?

Tried everything I know to get rid of it -- the square that is -- but no luck.

The pattern has a background. Try lowering the depth. I got the square to go away at a depth of 0.290

Hi jerrbitt
I would check to see what color the background is in a paint program and remove it or change it to pure white

I think that Butterfly had a box on the pattern.
You can eliminate the box effect by changing the Depth of that Butterfly to ".300". I would, also, eliminate the Feather on it as well.

The pattern you inserted has a background to it. Use a DTP program which will allow you to eliminate any background and bring it in as a new pattern. The best I have found is "paint.net" - and its free.
