Here is an article I came accross about powder coating wood.

It looks like it could really make some carves really "POP" if that is the surface your looking for. Has anyone used this and if so did you like the results? MDF seems to be the main type of wood now but a different article I was reading stated they here testing other natural woods.

Natural wood Powder Coat. That sounds just plain wrong. MDF great news but my experience with Powder Coat is that it is thicker than regular paint. So wouldn't it hide detail
Just a thought.

I was just picturing custom subwoofer boxes or that type of enclosure for the aftermarket auto customs.
