i will sent $20 to the first person who tells me the proper screw type, size, and length (metric,etc,..) for the opening which holds the flexshaft assembly into the motor. this offer is open to LHR employees as well , including the factory worker who didn't put it my machine. $2200 investment held up by a $.20 part.

Good Night.

I am going to take a shot at this but I am not near my machine but I would have to guess judging by the picture that it is one of either a
M2.5X .045 by 12mm long or M 2.2 X .045 by 12 mm long. Or it could be a standard 8-32 just a couple guesses Was hard to scale it off the pictures.

optionman,

Everything on the CW is metric. Based on the picture I would say the screw is a 2mm x 12mm long. The head won't make any difference as ti sits in the open. Go to the hardware store and buy a few screws about that size and I'm sure you will find one to fit. It should not cost more then a buck for 3 or 4 screws.

It's going to be metric.... Not much SAE in China....

I asked LHR if they would consider making up a SCREW (I will be nice) Kit of all the sizes of screws as I know I will be loosing some soon..... And offer them for sale......

More like a project for RJustice...... I would buy 2 sets..... You could call them Sc..... 4U...... :)

that's not my picture so i can't verify that the screw looks like that. that looks more like the screw holding the head cover, but i don't know. and since LHR doesn't know, i won't find out until i buy some and test them

someone who has removed the head cover can answer this. How far out of the motor housing does the screw sit. the opening is very small and i can't tell if the missing screw is tiny like those used in eyeglasses, or more like the head cover screw

Thats great and it saves you $20. That's a couple of cold beers and some wings at your favorite establishment.
Let us know the actual size when you get them.
Thanks
