Flexshaft screw

finally got my replacement flexshaft assembly, removed the head cover, and surprise,surprise no screw where screw should be holding flexshaft assembly into motor. anyone know the proper screw size?

is it really possible that a machine could have gotten out of the factory with no screw holding this very important part?

I could not locate it in the parts manual. You will probably have to call CW tomorrow and ask.

amazingly LHR tech people have no idea what size screw holds the assembly into the motor. after looking at the end of the old flexshaft assembly to see if i can see any marks made by the old screw, it appears perfectly smooth, no marks indicating that it was ever held in place properly. can't believe i got 14hours out of the cw before it came out in my hand.

guess i just buy various small screws and see what fits.
