View Full Version : O-Ring on Board Position Roller?

I had an incident recently where my front side carving didn't register with the back. I see in the manual where there is supposed to be an O-ring on the board postion roller, but I don't see one on my machine. Where exactly on the roller is it supposed to be? Could it have skipped off the roller and be riding around the axle, because I so see something rubber there, but it seems too small. I didn't try pushing it off and back around the brass roller. Is that how it goes?

Thanks
Rick

The O-Ring fits in the inside groove of the brass roller (near the keypad side of the machine). The O-ring is 7/16" diameter

Ok it is there on the left side. Thanks

Upon review, my registration problem was bacause I had something carved on the bottom where the roller had to ride. That was my own goof, not the machine. I'm just surprised it worked as well as it did, because there was a huge groove that would have prevented the roller from tracking.

Home Depot, Ace, Lowes, etc. - just a 7/16" dia.. Might help to take the old one in with you to compare to the new one(s).

Haven't had an issue yet (KNOCK WOOD) but now that I have 2 machines it would be bad to be down (and out) because of a 10 cent item

I give up. What is the purpose of the o-ring. I don't think you should need it in the first place.

Never mind! I guess you need it for hard or slick materials like plastics or ebony.
