Well, this is my first project ... done on day 2 of CC ownership.

My wife told me that she would like a carved name tag, and wanted it done in her favorite Papyrus font. The actual project is only 3"x1.5"x.25" and done on some scrap oak that I had. I finished it using Minwax Polyshades (dark walnut), putting it on thick and then wiping the surface ... which left the carved region darker.

It thought it came out pretty well for a first project.

Very nice! Very Clean. Gotta love that centerline! I like the border line too i been using that on alot of name plaques and signs. I too am a big fan of the minwax polyshades. Tongue oil is great too on carvings, especially on cherry. Keep up the good work. Nice project.
