Tell me I don't have a flexshaft problem

Pulled the shaft to lube it and a spring the length of the shaft came out with it. I imagine the spring is there for the shaft to ride on, but is it supposed to come out like that? The first time I lubed, I didn't have this happen.

What say you?

not a problem, just put it back in.... as long as you didn't step on it as some have done .....
