Happy Easter!

Here's a taste of things to come at the Chain Maker website. Procedural textures; bricks, stones, weaves, scales, shingles, etc. Just another piece of the puzzle.

At this point I'm still developing the code.

I'm sort of at a crossroads trying to decide if it would be more useful for the average CarveWright user to be given a tool to make their own textures, with every conceivable adjustable parameter, or to be offered a huge library of premade textures, perhaps on a DVD with seach engine.

You see, it starts to get very technical and I don't think most people want to be bothered tweaking those kinds of parameters. I could be wrong, this is a pretty technical bunch. What would the average user prefer? Are these even useful in the real world?

Hay Rick
I have only had a couple of chances to play with the program, and there is a learning curve, but as I get the time I will pick it up, so I guess I am just doing a little compairing one to the other to lesson the curve a little.
So not a problem.
Thanks for the reply

Hey Rick,

Personally I think you hit it on BOTH accounts. While it's nice to have a library of "pre-made" things, (like patterns), it's also a big plus to able to design your own.

I haven't looked at your app so I have no idea what the interface is like but if it's like any windows type app that has dialog boxes in which you can input parameters, I know I'd spend time playing with it. What I've seen you produce so far is VERY COOL stuff!!
