I just bought a new Compucarve (and love it!!!) - I'm a bit short on cash now, though and can't afford the entire carving bit set. Will the Quick-rout adapters that Crafstman puts out work on the Compucarve, or is it a whole different setup? I already have some great bits for my router. I just don't want to screw up my new machine...

The sears Quick-rout adapters fit both the CW and CC Machines
I bought a couple of three packs and leave them on the different Bits

Don't forget to degrease them and use a drop of blue Lock-Tite

jspeedy33,

The adapters are compatable, and if the bits are carbide and capable of better than 20,000 rpm then you should be fine,

Sears, LHR, and Ron Justice all sell adapters.

a plunge type bit too that will cut as they are plunged into the wood.
