Hello all,

I'm curious if there are any DVD sets out there that basically show you how to use the CW machine and its software. Anyone have a URL for something like this?

First off nice to see another Okie on here, welcome.

To answer your question:

Not unless someone put one together. What their is are a few tip videos that some members have put out. Just depends on what area of the machine your looking for then type that into search for the forums.

They have them for the probe and some others have put together basically a newsletter with tips and tricks

Probe:

http://www.carvebuddy.com/scanningvideo_how_it_works.html

Carvebuddy has a nice tip area:

http://www.carvebuddy.com/learning_center.html

I beleive the same thing from Carvewright:

http://www.carvewright.com/cms/tutorials

And then theirs the Carvewright Demo:

http://www.carvewright.com/cms/video

Carvewrights Tips and Tricks:

http://www.carvewright.com/cms/tips-and-tricks

That should get ya started. And then theirs a couple thousand different post on most questions and if you cant find it in here just ask, one of many people on here would be glad to help ya out. However this is a users forums. They can help you with most problems you might have but dont forget if you need to get it fixed you will need to call support. Most of the people here have either had the same problem and either now how to fix it themselves or should know where to tell ya to check for a solution.

Welcome to the site and I hope you have fun with it.

Thanks for the warm, Okie welcome, badger. And thanks for the links. Those definitely shed some light on things. Say, where in Oklahoma do you live?

I added Audio to all 19 of the Tips in the last day or so, as a learning tool as I wait on my machine to be delivered.

They are Zipped AVI files. I posted one on my Web Site, which you can download by going HERE (http://www2.wcoil.com/~nharbison/cw-text tool.zip) It is 15.3 Mb in size.

Nice job Bud!

Carvingoutaniche, nice to see another okie join the crowd. I'm in S. Okc. We just might have to start our own OK CW/CC club. :)

Just North of Edmond. Just waiting for the weather to stay a bit warmer before I start using the machine again. Cold workshop just isnt a good place for the machine. Had it inside all winter probing designs so they would be ready for spring. Machine not nearly as noisy when using the probe.

Bob & Ken,
No problem. Just be on the thread and go to FAVORITES/BOOKMARKS. In IE, click on Organize, and place it in your list.

Here is a Zipped AVI Lesson (http://www2.wcoil.com/~nharbison/web site favorites.zip) on saving Web Favorites (38.9 Mb).
