Hearts are used a lot, in craft and wood work so.....:confused:
Here is a very simple way to draw a heart
Open Designer and select your board settings.
Under Layout, select Snap. Set grid to 0.500
Select Snap Objects to Grid and View Grid.:cool:
Start with the Arc tool, Click a point below center.
Count 4 grid squares left and 4 squares up and click.
Repeat this again only go 4 right and 4 up from the bottom point.
Repeat with the Arc tool from the left line, right 4 and up 4.
Repeat from the right line, left 4 and up 4 and connect at the top.
Remember when you click the left mouse button a red X
will indicate a connection.
You should have a diamond shape of 4 stright arcs, see photo one.;)
Now if you want a nice shape, do a little math.
The diamond is 4 x 4 inches and each line is 2 x 2.
Use this formula SQ((2x2)+(2x2))/2
or 2x2=4 + 2x2=4 = 8 The Sq of 8 is 2.828
Divide that by 2 and you get 1.414
Left click and hold, and drag the left top line up and to the left
till you see a radius of 1.414
Do the same with the upper right line, only pull it up and right.
till you see a radius of 1.414
You now have a Heart......! See Photo two.:)
Why did i use arcs for the bottom?
If you want to modify your heart you can pull the top
two arcs less or more then 1.414, but the sides will
not look smooth.
To fix this, you can pull the bottom two arcs in or out to blend it
in better and you will have a fat or a slim Heart....!
If you can't get the sides even, you can enter the radius by
clicking on it, entering a number end hit Enter.
