Grouse Panel

[Router-Jim]

Carved this weekend. 14 x 18 Hickory. This is the sixth wildlife panel for a cabinetmaker.

What makes this one a bit unique is that the customer had a favorite picture of a grouse, he send the pic to a professional 3-D pattern maker (James B.)who then sent me the pattern to carve.

The detail on this one is fantastic. It's like you can see every feather. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Thanks everyone.

Gunner, in this case the cabinetmaker supplied the glued up panels cut to size. I carved them using a carrier sled. I can get hickory from Bennett Hardwoods in Wausau if I need to.
