First patern ok second not

When setting up a carving on the machine I tell it not to cut board to size. The machine starts then stops and shows "check out notor" I atart the machine again. The machine carves first pattern then when it starts second pattern the bit does not touch the wood. Then the machine cuts the board to size any way. I have tried different patterns, different boards, and different bits. Nothing helps. Is this a hardware problem or a software problem. This is a "NEW MACHINE"

Posting your MPC file would allow us to determine what might be the problem. I could be software or the machine.
