Hi skeeterman,

A good place to start is with a carve region
to drop the area around the carving back away from the element
that you want to stand out.
Here's one you can fool around with a little.

Hello skeeterman,

You may want to read the Dec. '07 issue of the CarveWright Tips & Tricks Newsletter. Along with other tips, it shows you how to create carve regions and how to set up any of your projects to avoid common "user-caused" problems.

You can download all the Tips & Tricks newsletters at the following link: http://www.carvebuddy.com/learning_center.html

You can sign up for receipt of the newsletters via email by visiting the CarveWright website and entering your info in the "Join Our Mailing List" in the lower-right corner of the screen. Here's the link to the CarveWright site: http://www.carvewright.com/

Check out the tutorial, "Regions, Surfaces and Textures ". Tutorials are under the Support tab on the CarveWright.com site. I have gone through about 80% of them, some more than once, and have found them to be good training. In fact, I am going to watch this one again.:)
