View Full Version : Finally carved one, but it has issues

I finally used my machine and carve my first project today. Found that the CW is just to cool ;-} DrBob was kind enough to work on a design for me ;-} he's a cool dude too LOL. I used two diff types of wood, pine for the first one and poplar on the second. The first one seem to have issues with the lettering, the second one I messed up and used a 1/8" instead of a 1/16" bit. So I am now carving the third to see if the lettering is sharper; I'm using poplar again. Take a look let me know what you all think

Tried to load them, but they are to large, I have to resize them and then try posting them agin.

andes, I can feel you pain, did that this week my self, if you play around long enough you can do it. By the way what doe's LOL mean?

I just did my first one with cedar. It's a fine-grained wood, so the carving of a picture of my buddies baby came out pretty good.
