Before I ask my main question: Is there a search function in this forum?

I'll also mention that I do not yet have the machine, I'm waiting on a Sears card to take advantage of the promo before I buy. I have downloaded the software and played with it some.

Now then, to set up my question, think of woodcut blocks, where the 'printing surface' is all that matters and the rest of the wood is just cut down and away.

How do I get that kind of steep-sided cut from a line drawing?

I photoshopped an image down to just lines to try for that effect, but the designer software seemed to show a lot of texture in the gulleys. Maybe there is still some grey tones in the image - but I don't see it.

Thanks in advance.
Scot

auriclux,

There are several ways to access Search, in the bar at the top next to "New Posts", and at the bottom - a selection in the ComboBox.

All kinds of posts about importing images - avoid jpg.

would be pure white and backgroud pure black. you could use selctions command and fill the areas to get rid of the spikes in the background.

If you make the background slightly off white the spikes will disappear.
