Hi, Dan
The letters did not carve well, too much chip out. I did use some draft. The hand PTN was OK – a little rough.

I tried to carve the hand in oak. Some chip out on the letters.

I also tried it in cedar, that one was the best. I used the boldest type style I could find. Try my pattern. I would like to know if your carvings turn out rough also. It may be my machine. Thanks. BJB
