This is a NCO sword holder for a buddy of mine, He had bothered me for some time to get it done for him. Its red oak and poplar, I used a provincial stain on the center piece and a few coats of laquer on the rest. Total carving time was about 3 hrs, the 1/8 inch cutting bit did an excellant job on the outline of the centerpiece. I did have to use my scroll saw to finish the cross rifles. All in all it was a weekend project to get my very bothersome, change his mind every 10 seconds buddy off my back.
