Can anyone tell me if you can turn the machine off before the the project is completed and then later turn it back on and start again at the same place that you stopped at?

you can hit the stop button and the restart but if you actually use the on off switch then you would have to restart from the beginning

Thanks for the help. Can you leave the machine on overnite without hurting it?

thumper I have many times. as long as you have good wiring and no storms it will be fine. now personly since my machine is as much computer as anything I now have mine on a battery backup surge protector.

Thanks again Bubbabear. This is great to have a problem and get some help so fast. I messed up a carving that looked like it was going to come out nice. I guess that is the price of learning.
Thanks again Bubbabear

you can also raise door and leave open till ready to start again.
bubba, does the battery backup keep machine from shutting off during brief power, 20 seconds, outages?

Dave no it doesnt. But for not wanting to loose a stopped or stalled project it works great incase of power flicker or outage. I am sure you could probably find one that big not sure i would want to pay for it though
