Hi everybody, I got a question. I'm doing some carving in poplar with my dremel. I dont want the burn in the carving. How do I get the burn marks out of the wood? I tried a wire brush but it takes the carving down too much. I tried one of those little brushes you put on your dremel but I that takes it down to much too. Can I use bleach to get it out? I dont want to sand it out, because its too detailed. Thanks, Jenny

I read the other day to wash the marks with a thinner before sanding or scraping . the burn is from the pitch or sap in the wood getting hot.
Sorry I can't remember type of thinner they used if they used.
I have not tried it but may be worth a shot.
If I find article will let you know
good luck

If your dremel has a slower speed, use it or consider getting a foot switch with speed control.
