My 1.119 that came with my machine works fine, but I can't register it because it is no longer supported. So, I downloaded and installed 1.125 and the first splashscreen comes up, goes away, and that is all. Called LHR and they said I didn't have enough memory - I added 1gb - 1.256gb total now. Same problem. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem? To make matters worse, I purchased the new text and now can't use it! HELP!!!!!!

Bubba,

It must be a full version, because I put it on my computer at work from the same file I am trying to use at home - and it worked.

I would completly uninstall every version of Designer off your computer. And then redownload the full 1.125 version and reinstall. Files can get corrupted while downloading and beign stored to your HD, its rare but does happen. Let us know if that does not work.

Been there, done that - went through control panel to uninstall, also. Restarted between uninstall and reinstall....multiple times to all of the above. I have the file i downloaded at work and installed on the computer there - it worked there - but not here. There is SOMETHING it doesn't like about my computer or the software installed on it - just have to find out what it is, I guess. My first guess was the virus/firewall software- disabled that.

try starting it from a command line and see if you get an error code. Also, it could very likely be a video card issue. Make sure and update your video drivers.

I seem to have the latest video driver - at least from what I can tell. Set it to the best resolution. No error code rubbing from the command prompt, either. It is getting frustrating!

Another possible reason it won't work, that happened to me is. CW will not authorize more than two licenses per designer software. I have three computers and can only load on two.

It won't even let me open it the first time to I can register it.

are .120 or .125. .125 has some bugs still. you could reinstall from the disk that came with the machine.

Terry, thanks for letting us know how you got it sorted out. Hopefully that will help someone else in the future. I merged your two threads into one to make it easier to search in the future.

Thanks for all the help! I knew it had to be something about my computer and after I ruled out the insufficient memory issue, an update was the next logical step. All my updates had already been installed, but something was obviously corrupted. Again - THANKS!
