I'm trying to come up with an easy method of printing out all of my patterns in a catalog style. Doing a screen print into a graphics program, cropping etc. would take weeks. Anyone have any ideas to make it easier and or faster?

You could look into creating a macro. Most macro programs will record a series of keystrokes and mouse movements. I haven't messed with any macro writing s/w lately, so I can't be of much help in recomending a good package to use. Plenty of options if you google "create macro".

I've gotten to where I take a screen print to a jpeg with each project. There are many programs out there that let you build a photo album fairly easily.

Terry,

I know you were trying to avoid the option of manual screen prints. However, if all else fails you can use the above mentioned program (http://www.gadwin.com). I believe you can define a rectangular section of the screen to copy and also select the output file type. This would at least allow you to only open projects and hit 'PrtScr' without the worry of manually saving & cropping.

Greg,
Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for. I can catalog all of my patterns ten times faster. It is great.

It took about 10 minutes to do these. Only 5 or 600 to go.

Glad it worked. :) Are those patterns you created?

Mostly patterns from fellow forum members, purchased and a very few that I made my self.

Here is a free print screen utility that I have been using for years (various versions). It will copy the entire screen or you can crop and save as a JPEG.
