Hello Barry,

When saving from Designer: .mpc file (a project file)

When saving from the Pattern Editor: .mpw (an artwork file)
When saving from the Pattern Editor: .ptn (a pattern file)

(NOTE: you'll only have the Pattern Editor if you own the Scanning Probe)
