I have replaced the plastic gears on the lower belt drives two times. I have checked the head pressure and everything seams to be OK. Is there something else I need to look at?

The machine is basically brain dead when cutting and if your board is of a quality that it has a taper and wedges between the belt and head and keeps trying until it dies.

There is motor current monitoring but things happen fast. A board installed not parallel will travel free in one direction and jam in the other direction. Like turning your car wheels while at a curb.

Just a thought.... You did clean all the broken gear pieces from the old gears left in the unit?

Thanks, it's possible that I could have gotten a jam, as you say they can happen to quick to hardly then notice. It may just be me!

Even a board stored on edge on a cement floor can suck up moisture and swell and cause a jam.... The end of the board on a cement floor is a repair waiting to happen.....
