new machine does anthing work?

anyone help me with a machine that wont start...nothing past CW splash sceen and a flash reader that my computer wont see? pretty much leaves me SOL

If the card is not formated and loaded with the firmware, the CC would probably just look at you like a hungry puppy. And, if your computer can't see the Reader, you can't load the card. So, first things first - make sure that you are on an external powered USB rather than one directly on the machine just to see if power is the problem. Maybe reboot!

I recently received a new card that said "The flash device can not be initilized..." no matter what I did. The next time I started my computer, I tried again and it worked.:confused:

Until you can load the card, I doubt you are going to see a happy carving machine.

re boot didnt help. light goes on when I plug flash into computer...but computer does not recognize flash drive.

If you are trying to see the memory card in my computer it will not. only way to see the memory card content is to try to upload a file from designer

message within designer is "flash error" ..... "device could not be initialized. ensure that the flash writer is conected to your computer and card inserted..."
