I want to carve a litho,
for my parents I must.
An error message flashes,
my carve is a bust.

The assert macro failed,
I cuss and I swear.
To the forum I go,
they will fix my despair.

Did a search and found nothing,
so LHR I did call.
Send it back they said,
I thought I would ball.

Now out in my driveway,
there is a brown truck.
Two men carry my carver,
through snow and brown muck.

I stand in my shop,
with hands on my hips.
Looking at the space,
where my carver once through chips.

Some may think,
I wrote this for spite.
I just want you to know,
I miss my Carve Wright.

I can't tell you how you hit the nail on the head. These carving will be on the front door of my wood shop. You have made history in the wood craving world. Thanks

Ken, Thinking before you carve the poem...you might want to change the spelling on the word ball to bawl. I'm thinking that is the form of the word he meant in the poem.

Thanks Lin, I miss it, --- Where's my proof reader when I really need him. -- or maybe I should keep a copy of both. http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

Corrected the ball-bawl line in the poem in my original post # 2, and noted it as Take two

I still have to wait until I get on my other computer to see what it looks like in Centerline type. http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif
