This is a Message to our new Carvers or folks new to the CarveWright Forum.

The First post ( Sticky ) in the Troubleshooting section of this Forum has several
PFD files and Information to help guide you through and help you with many of the Questions You may have,
or may come across while reading this forum, or working with your new CW or CC machines.

One of the problems we often run into while posting on this forum or speaking to a Tech at LHR ( CarveWright )
is using the proper name for a Machine Part, ( “Z” Truck, Touch Plate, Tracking Sensor ),
or action ( Homing, Measuring, scanning ), even Terms ( Software, Firmware, mpc ptn mpw jpg )
which we all use every day while dealing with the machines.

A short detailed description of an error and what the machine was doing at the time of the error,
with possibility the error number ( 236 246 400 ) plus any information given on the led display in the error message.
This information will save time and go a long way towards finding the answers you will need in a Search of this forum,
and in posts and threads shared with fellow forum members.
Most of all it will help, while talking to the LHR Tech working to solve your problems
and answer your question regarding your CW or CC machine.

Two of the PFD files I have found very useful for part names and terms are, The Troubleshooting Guide and The Exploded View Parts list Manual

troubleshooting_guide_04-17-07.pdf (http://www.carvewright.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=6161&d=1191280559) -- Exploded view parts list (http://www.carveright.com/downloads/parts_list_manual.pdf)

I keep a printed copy in my shop near my machine and another near the phone in my office for the occasions I speak to LHR,
it really helps being on the same page so to speak, when trying to investigate, discuss or work out a problem and answer questions.
