Ok, I'm sure it's been covered here somewhere, but can't find it...

How do most people prefer to perform the final cut of cutouts?

Thanks!

Hello,

There is an excellent tutorial written by Bob Hill that explains exactly what to do for creating cutpaths. It is a pdf file posted at allcw's website.

Here is the link: http://www.allcw.com/files/Download/Outline-Cut-Tutorial.pdf

Thanks Michael, I guess I wasn't very clear...

Once you have a cut path, and you've carved the project out, the tabs need cutting. I've been told though that a sharp knife/razer works well for this.

Nethog knife or rasor blade works great and then good swipe with sand paper

Must types of hobby or shop knives like the A-xcto work well,
I've also have used my Coping Saw for clean cut outs

Hello Nethog,

I usually use a sharp utility knife and/or a single-edge razor blade, then buzz off the little "nodes" left behind with a Dremel on curved/irregular areas and a sanding block on flat/straight areas around the edge of the cutout.
