Hello,

I have a brand new compucarve that I'm excited to try. One question (of many to come I'm sure) The machine came with a 1/8th straight bit and a 1/16th carving bit. I want to carve a pattern, so on the board settings "pattern bit" tab, I am expecting to select the 1/16th carving bit, but the only 1/16th bit that I see is a bullnose bit, are they the same? I'm thinking they are not, but I'm not sure why I don't see a 1/16th carving bit option for the pattern bit.

Thank you. Rob

The 1/16" carving bit is the bullnose. For raster carving you shouldn't be able to change bits anyways.

Hi Rob,

Welcome to the forum,
And yes many new carvers have ask
But the 1/16" bull nose and the 1/16" carving bit
are the same bit. The comes with only two bits
the 1/16" bull carving bit and the 1'8" cutting bit
