Do you find it hard to get in touch with a real live person from tech?:(

I can't get an answer about my sensor probe...

is there a place where I can just order one?

Well, no. Sometimes you need to be persistent. I called last week to get a new activation code after getting a new laptop. Had to leave a message and did not get a call back. So I called Saturday and talked to Omar and got it taken care of.

If you just want to buy a probe call and ask for Sales or use the CW online store (carvewright.com then look for Store link), or order one from Sears.

I just thought that since the machine is less than 30 days old and only has seven hours and nine minutes on it I might actually get one free...

stupid me...

I'm confused are you wanting to buy a probe, do you have a broken probe?

I guess I'm trying to buy one since I can get any support.

I keep getting clear sensor errors...
I did the trouble shooting and I am no where near the number parameters that the manual says I should be in.

with no board in the up position it displays 6...
with a board in the down position it displays 11...

I did the cleaning...checked it again...still the same...
went on line to the forum and found how to remove the sensor and clean it
(this is when I discovered the screw holes on the sensor were broke).

I'm stupid...I don't know what a shoulder screw is...

it's 3/8" long, flat head (not tapered), philips and black

Oh, your wanting to get a 'Board Sensor' to replace a defective one. When you said 'Sensor Probe' I thought you were referring to the scanning probe accessory. You just need to call tech support and get them to send you one. Keep calling back until you get a live person. Are you leaving messages with them?

not over 5 or 10....
When I did talk to someone they said that expert wasn't in but would be shortly...that was 2 hours ago. (not counting yesterday)

A shoulder screw has a non threaded section by the head that is generally a larger diameter than the threaded portion:

XX head
XXXX shoulder
XXXXXXXXXX threads
XXXX
XX

The shoulder is used to align things, provide a pivot point.

Sounds like just a regular machine bolt and what's on second I think,
And the best time to call LHR is right about 9 am when they first open. If you can do it the worst time is around lunch time.
