First I want to let everyone who needs to send their machine in for repair. Make sure you pack it correctly! I had to send in both my machines and in my haste I didn't see the cover go over the out feed table and it broke. So a $10.00 charge!

Ok another issue I am the only one who's muffler has worn by use? LHR called me to let me know I mis packed one CC and the cover broke and I was asked about the muffler. My mufflers or dust bags have blown holes in them from use. They really are called mufflers, take it off during operation and see how loud it gets.

So I am I the only one who has worn out their mufflers? Please let me know.

Hello Rick,

I never use the muffler at all, so both of mine still look brand new!

(I also never use the red lever on the machines.)

Mine Has 2 Hours carving time on it.
It been sitting on the shelf since the first carving.
My down draft cabinet was up and running for my second carving.
I haven't used the bag since.
It still has the the dust and chips from my first project in it.

For those who don't use their mufflers....try them!!! It makes the machine quieter and it really isn't a dust collector. However with holes in it it blows dust everywhere! I use it in my portable shop and WOW the dust is bad!!

Well I must be the first one to say anything to LHR! I think I am going to design a new muffler for the thing I have some ideas!

Yes a new muffler would be good... I even thought of using the air pressure and some 1/4 inch tube to blow at the bit to push the chips toward my dust collector input.

Good Luck with the NEW RV. NICE !!!!

Thanks Al, we pick it up Friday! I must be crazy trading in a 2005 class C I bought new for a 2008 Class A! But this one is soooo much nicer. You can see it at www.fleetwood.com then go to gas motor homes and to Terra LX.

Opps it will pull my portable shop with my CC much better. Yes I will come up with a better muffler. Sorry I am excited for the new RV and soon this one will be paid off!

I do'nt use the muffler--most my craving is done on the driveway outside.
Anybody know what the operating temp is for the use during the winter??

Hello rmacke,

You need to keep the shop at 60 degrees or above. I use an inexpensive oil heater in my shop during the winter.

Same here I heat my shop with a wood stove and oil heaters. But CC don't like the cold!
