Yesterday for the sake of prototype work I used Draft Mode to cut the Bear Book Ends. The Carve Machine sure sounded different with high's and low's in Cut Motor RPM's in pine. I would hesitate to cut Maple or Oak in Draft Mode for fear of beating up the bearings..... Draft Mode must be bigger bites hence a shorter cut time.

yes, but sometimes you need more speed for cutting hardwoods
so draft can be better for maple....

Seems to me it was X axis advanced
Draft .015 inch per pass
Normal .010 inch per pass
Best .005 inch per pass
