I see on the carvewright website that there is an add on centerlining program. Is this different from the one which came on my machine?

To my understanding, unless you are a beta user, the centerline does not come with the basic unit. It can be activated through carvewright. The cost is $100. If you are doing signs and such, it is well worth the money.

Bill,

Actually everyone does get the Probe utility on their software. However until you purchase that option, you don't have the key to unlock it (unless you are a Beta user, that is).

Thanks gentlemen. I am a beta user, although I took carvewright up on the trade-in deal. My machine is on its' way back to Texas due to the Z-truck having a part break off of it. The casting which carries the chuck had one corner of it break off, taking one of the guide wheels/bearings with it. Looks like when it was assembled, someone over-torqued a screw cracking the casting around the screw hole and the fissure finally parted completely. Bummer. Ditchdoc
