I know I'm not the sharpest stick in the woods, but I think something must be wrong with the search option. When I try to enter a search with less then 4 characters, ie. X or Z , it comes back with an error message saying I've entered a search word that has less than 4 characters. I was trying to enter a search "Z axis failure" when this came up. Anybody see what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
Ernie

Hi Ernie,

your right about 4 letters for a search --- enter a word with the Z or Y.
(Z axis, Z failure, or Z truck) and it will find the info for you.

the word Top won't work by it's self, but top of carving, top of machine, or top of project, will

Ernie,

My take on this is from a programmer's perspective.
If you search for a very short string, you will get too many "hits".
Therefore, a minimum string length is set to avoid that.
The problem here is that the Search feature breaks the search string down and uses that rule on each word (or at least the first one).

The usual way around that is to put quotes around the entire string - but that does not even work here.

You are right, there is an issue here that should be addressed.

"Z axis" (in quotes) as a search term works for me.
