This is the first time I used my 'BETA REPLACEMENT' machine. The first project carved until a bit replacement was called for. The display showed 'load the 90 deg bit' , I hit enter expecting the head to position itself in the center for bit loading. The head travelled all the wat to the back and the head descended to the 'flag'. When it came back up the ASSERT ERROR appeared. Ending this project. I searched the trouble shooting forum and found a couple of posts pertaining to other ASSERT ERROR numbers (87).

I suspect that when I did not load the bit with the carriage in the home position the software expected the 90 deg bit was loaded. When it was doing the home procedure the parameters did not match the ones abtained when the project was initially started.

If any one has encountered this problem please respond.

Thanks Dan

If you fail to install the bit it will fault out at the bit plate check.

I think you are correct sir. It was asking for the bit to be loaded and I hit enter which made the machine think I had loaded the requested bit. Going to try again and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.
