I made a carving yesterday with a cutout afterwords, pattern went find, once the carving was over I put in the Cutting Bit and it asked me to enter the Board Thickness, I typed in 500, it would not take.
How do you enter measurements at the Keypad?
Thanks for all of your great support.
P.S. I am still amazed by this Machine:confused:

Just a thought --- did you mean .500 for 1/2" board?
Quote- I typed in 500, it would not take.

You need to specify the thickness of the wood in decimal format... For example:
1/2" - .50
3/4" - .75
1" - 1.0
To enter the . simply use the down arrow!

Actually Jim and Michael, you can also express thickness or any dimensions in fractions, such as 3/32, 1/4, etc. and Designer will automatically convert it to decimals for you. Pretty neat, huh!

You can enter fractional board thickness via the machines keypad as well (Just like Bob mentioned you can do in Designer). So for 1/2", you would enter the keys '1' ,'/' ,'2' 'Enter'. You only get this prompt when your workpiece is so wide that the machine can touch the bit down to the rear guide plate.
