Looking for plans that either explains the locking/leveling of the tilt top table or shows. It is a way of displaying art a different way -- functional art. Thanks for comments. My Lion Table Top (so far). Gold sprayed lightly on walnut.

I must say the lion carving looks great.

Thanks for the info. My wife searched my library & learned that the box shaped contraption on top of the pedestal is called a birdcage. It allows the table top to turn 360' but that there is a hinge & latch that allows it to fold down & set up. These could be feasible on a small scale but I shall see if I can improve to a wooden hinge & dowel latch to keep it wood. Just turned the column out of curly maple; now just need the feet.
