Why is it when the machine asks "Keep Original Size" it displays two different lengths. I just tried a project that was specified at 19.5" and when it asked to "Keep Original Size", it displayed 20.22 / 19.5. What does the first number mean?

The first number is the length of the board as measured by the machine, the second is the length of the project.

The thing is the board was 27" long and when I stopped the procedure before it started to cut, pressed measure board it stated the length as 27.03".

Were you carving a pattern and was the width of the board the right width. If not maybe it was trying to scale the project to fit both the width and the length. I know if you are in designer and you type a number in the X box for a patten you are going to carve it will automaticly change the Y setting also unless you put that in manually yourself. Just a thought.
