Just plain old pine with one coat of Min- Wax polyshades pecan finish and spayed with one coat of clear polyurethane.

You sure did make that pine look great. Thought two of them might be cherry without being oiled...lighter color that way.
Hoping the new machine comes in on time...so I can finish the eagle in pine that it died on and then carve it in pecan. Hoping they will match up to some of the wonderful pieces I see posted here.

I know what you mean there are a lot of nice pictures posted and a lot of talented people on this forum. Good luck with the new machine my number 2 is still running fine, I just laid out a new address plaque that I am making for our house, 2 cardinals on branches and I am doing that in cherry, I had to cheat again and buy 2 patterns make things a lot easier. I can do simple ones myself but I am limited.
