My machine arrived back from Texas yesterday after noon, and I’m very pleased with the great service from CW, round trip with repairs was 10 day including the holiday weekend – Marvelous. Not having enough time to set the machine up at my shop so I brought it home to run a quick shake down project where I could watch to see if all i’s were dotted and the t’s crossed. It was a nice cool, quite evening with a couple of hours of day light left so opened my garage door and set the machine on my bench and fired it up for a short thirty minute run. Well I live in suburbia with neighbors and all, and like all good neighbors a few were attracted by the new sound ringing through the cool evening air and stopped by to see the source of this new sound, we all talked for a while and passed a couple of thought back and forth about the machine. It return to my shop with me this morning to take its place on my down draft cabinet.
No future field trips planned for awhile. It’s kind of nice knowing that folks take an interest in new things in the neighborhood. http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

As I posted earlier today my machine is back from repairs in Texas and ran a little shake down project last night to see if all was well. I found that the flipper arm was a little sluggish and not extending all the way, a quick shot of Bostik Bearing Lube That Dries Quickly did the trick. I then pulled the flex-shaft and put it in my plastic tubing loaded with Chain Lube with Moly then hung it the wall over my bench over night. A few hours ago I let the extra lube drain off and dried it off with toweling. Did the setup for a couple 2hour carvings, as I did, I thought it would be a good time to check the board sensor. It was one of the problem that machine went back to Texas for; I could never get a reading over 45 to 50. I Did a 07 check --- Wow 149 I couldn’t believe it, -- so stuck a small mirror under the carving head and saw a shinning flat reflection on the board sensor that I hadn’t seen before, well it looks like I’ve been carving all this time without the clear plastic lens on the front of my board sensor. http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif Good greif now I feel dumb, all the time I brushing, wiping, and cleaning what I thought was the lens cover was the leds themselves. Anyway the machines is half finished with the second project and it’s carving Great --- Thanks Again to the Techs at CW http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
