Apparently your pelican attachment didn't make it. Try again, or edit your post and try it there.

I have spent hours trying to upload the photo with no luck. I have reduced the file to the size of a pin head and in every case the upload fails.
Attachments on this board are still not working.

JSpringer,
This thread has me confused, at first I thought that the attachments had been fixed. Certainly Bob would know, but it seems that the attachment problem still exists and nobody has told you - perhaps assuming that you had read other posts.

Ken,

Sorry to say, but I also thought the allowing of attachments had been fixed by now, but see they have not been. For many reasons, that's hurting us here with a lot of assistance items.

It’s – Quote -- hurting us here with a lot of assistance items.
It’s so much faster and easer to post a picture or photo of a part or spot in side the machine or on a carving with a circle around it or an arrow pointing at it, and a short explanation. Then it is to write out long descriptions of a part and where to look for it or where find it. Attachments are such a help, ---I hope they’ll be back soon. http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif

It's now 15:21edt on Monday the 9th of July and after calling LHR, I've found that their Web people are trying to get the attachment failure fixed as we speak. The problem apparently is since they have administrative rights and we don't, they weren't seeing the same problem as we, here in the hinderlands.

Bob,

Thanks for the “as we speak” info about the web people,
Did they happen to say when they started working on the problem
and who we could call that has a direct pipe line to the right people if we run into a problem like this in future.
By the way Bob are the Hinderlands any where near the Neitherlands. http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

As we say in Texas, the Hinderlands are just down the road a piece. I think it is right next to Pasadena, Texas, home of CarveWright.

Indeed, the hinderlands have come alive with it's newly established power of the upload of attachments, alas, as indicated by the railroad MPC file and JPG of it in Designer.

Very nicely done, Ken. I'm tempted to do a probe scan of my plaque, if for no other reason than to have a master available for use when they don't do that any more, as I believe is now the policy. Mine is brass over carving with the brass having been etched and the cut having been lasered.

Thanks Bob,

I moved the Plaque post to it's on thread
I didn't want jspringertx to think I was hijacking his thread.
Sorry jspringertx I was two finger typing faster then I was thinking.

I tried to upload a larger image, but it limited me to 19.5 kb. How do I get around this?

Try it as a jpg you'll have 97.7 kb. this one is 61 kb.
I just reduced the quality from 97 to 61, as you see it fits fine.
just one way to do it.

That looks nice. Excellent carving! ;) Now if you'd rename the origonal file as a jpg, instead of jpeg, you could make it twice as large and we could see it even better. The file size restrictions on the forum are strange, but we can work around them. See----:p
