Design Software Problem (Computer Locks up)

I'm having a problem while using the design software.

While using the design software the graphics will change from 1024 x 768 to
800 x 600 and my computer locks up. CTL+ALT+DEL will not even work. I end up having to turn my computer off using the power button.

I have 512mb of memory (max on my computer) running Windows XP.

Any ideas ?

Sounds like and issue with your video card (or built in). I seem to recall the Designer requires an OpenGL capable graphics chip set. You might look at your mother board and see if you can add/change a graphics card.
